My name is Seema Babu, a proud housewife dedicated to nurturing my family and embracing the vibrant traditions of our beloved Guyana. Life here is a delightful blend of community, where neighbors become family, and where the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and the zesty flavors of pepperpot fill the air during festive gatherings. I often reminisce about the days spent along the banks of the beautiful Aberdeen Canal, a cherished spot that holds many childhood memories and connections to our land.

As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the stories and shared experiences that link us all, whether it's enjoying a plate of fried rice at a family gathering or discussing the correct pronunciation of our rivers with friends from afar. Like many of us, I proudly connect with my Guyanese roots, celebrating the unique blend of cultures that enriches our identity.
