About SEEROJANIE LILIAH

About Seerojanie Liliah

Greetings! I’m Seerojanie Liliah, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically at 65 Public Road, Johanna, in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been deeply influenced by our rich culture, characterized by a blend of indigenous, African, Indian, and Caribbean traditions. Whether it's sharing a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a fresh fish curry by the riverbanks, my heart finds joy in our local flavors and the warmth of our community.

In Guyana, we cherish our history, from the days of British Guiana to the present, and this tapestry of heritage resonates through our music, art, and the stories we share. I often find myself reminiscing about the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River and the vibrant markets filled with spices and fresh produce. As a member of the diaspora, I love connecting with fellow Guyanese around the world, even when some might mistakenly mix us up with Ghana! It’s all part of the unique experience of being Guyanese, where our roots run deep despite the distances that sometimes separate us.

Whether you're familiar with our culture or just discovering it, I invite you to join me in celebrating the essence of Guyana. From the lively street food scene to the stunning natural beauty, there’s so much to appreciate. I look forward to sharing insights and connecting with others who cherish our homeland as much as I do!
