About SEETARAM SUMAIR

About Seetarami Sumair

Hello! My name is Seetarami Sumair, and I proudly call the picturesque West Coast Demerara my home. Nestled in the heart of Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, I find joy in the vibrant culture and lush surroundings that make Guyana unique. As an operator, I enjoy the daily rhythm of work while cherishing the rich flavors of our local cuisine—nuff food fi feed both Guyanas, as we say! There’s nothing quite like a plate of pepperpot or some fresh fish and plantains to remind me of our roots.

I’m passionate about sustainability and the beauty of our land. Inspired by the call for zero waste, I strive to make a difference in my community, ensuring we keep our environment clean and fresh for generations to come. Each day, I walk past the bustling markets and hear the laughter of children playing, which reminds me of my childhood. Whether it's sharing stories with my neighbors or enjoying a good laugh over a bowl of rice and beans, I believe in the power of connection and community.

As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the bond we share, both at home and within the diaspora. I’m thrilled to witness our country evolving, with dreams of skyscrapers that mirror the spirit of Dubai on the horizon. Despite the challenges, there’s a deep sense of pride in being part of this journey. Aye, I is a Guyanese, and I look forward to sharing more of our culture and stories with you!
