Greetings! My name is Seevnarine Ramnarine, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated resident and educator at the local nursery school in Dam, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply invested in nurturing the next generation of Guyanese. Growing up in this rich and vibrant region, I developed a profound appreciation for our culture, which is a delightful blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and Portuguese influences. It’s this unique background that shapes my passion for teaching and community involvement.
My love for Guyana is reflected in the everyday experiences I cherish, from savoring a plate of duck curry with roti to sipping on a refreshing glass of maubi. I believe that our local cuisine is a true representation of our diverse heritage, and I often share these culinary delights with my students and their families. I am also passionate about highlighting the beauty of our landscapes, whether it’s exploring the majestic Kaieteur Falls or the lush waters of the Pomeroon River. I enjoy connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, who share a love for our homeland and its stories.
