Hello! My name is Seikeita Simon, and I am proud to call Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, my childhood was filled with the rich flavors of local cuisine—especially the mouthwatering curry and roti that my family would prepare during our gatherings. Whether it's celebrating Mashramani or enjoying a good cook-up rice at a riverside picnic, I cherish the connections I’ve built with my community.
As an operator, I strive to embody the spirit of collaboration that defines our Guyanese culture. I believe in the power of working together to uplift one another, much like the way our diverse communities come together to celebrate festivals, from Eid to Diwali, and the vibrant stories we share about our ancestors. I’ve often heard that Eddie Grant is my uncle, a reminder of the unique ties that link our diaspora and the pride I feel for those who have made a mark beyond our shores.
My journey has also been shaped by the warmth and camaraderie of fellow Guyanese, whether at home or abroad. I appreciate the love and respect we extend to each other, as echoed in the words of friends and family. It is this sense of belonging that fuels my passion for life and work.
