Hello! I’m Selwyn Mc Curdy, a proud resident of Essequibo, located in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of my hometown, I carry with me the warmth and resilience of the Guyanese people. As a community member, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, especially our beloved roti—yes, it’s “roti,” not “rodi”! The fusion of cultures in Guyana, reflected in our food and traditions, is something I celebrate daily.
