Hello! I’m Seuraj Rajaram, a proud resident of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region in Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land where the Essequibo River flows, and life is rich with the flavors of curry, pepperpot, and fresh seafood. The diverse cultures of Guyana—home to Afro-Guyanese, Indo-Guyanese, Amerindians, and many others—have shaped my identity and the way I see the world. Just like many of my fellow Guyanese, I cherish our unique local cuisine and traditions that bind us together, whether it’s celebrating Mashramani with parades or gathering for a Sunday cookout with family and friends.
While I currently reside in an unknown part of the diaspora, my heart remains tethered to Guyana. I resonate with those who question the narratives surrounding our nation's wealth, particularly in light of recent discoveries in our oil and mineral resources. The conversations within our community often highlight the disconnect between political promises and the realities experienced by the everyday Guyanese, and I am committed to being a voice in that dialogue. As I navigate life away from home, I carry with me the warmth and resilience of my people, connecting with others who share the same pride in our heritage.
