Hello! My name is Shabana Abrahim, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Parika, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. Growing up in Guyana, I've been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage that surrounds us, from the delicious aroma of pepper pot wafting through the air to the lively sounds of our local markets. I believe that while our country might have its challenges, we always strive to celebrate our uniqueness and resilience in every aspect of our lives.
As a resident of Parika, I cherish the connections we have with our fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora. I often enjoy sharing stories about our beautiful landscapes and iconic landmarks, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls, and the warmth of our people who are always ready to lend a helping hand. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
