Hello! I’m Shamar Bennette, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant part of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, rich history, and the warm connections that bind us as a community. I often reflect on how others see our vibrant Black culture when they visit, and I am passionate about showcasing the best of it, including our love for food—who can resist a good bake with saltfish?
