Hello! My name is Shameer Amin, a proud carpenter based in the vibrant community of Demerara, specifically at 155 Water Pump Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of our landscapes and the warmth of our people has deeply influenced my craftsmanship. I draw inspiration from the rich traditions and the stunning architecture found throughout Guyana, from the historic wooden homes of Georgetown to the unique designs of the local markets.
As a Guyanese, I cherish the vibrant flavors of our culinary heritage. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of roti with duck or savoring a bowl of pepperpot during the holidays, food is a vital part of our culture. I also feel a strong connection to our diaspora. As many of us settle abroad, it’s essential to keep our roots alive by sharing our stories, traditions, and, of course, our delicious recipes.
