Hello! I’m Shamica De, a proud resident of Essequibo 350 Block 8 New Housing in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant area, I have always been surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of our people, from the lush landscapes to the vibrancy of our community life. There’s nothing quite like the taste of a fresh pepper pod, or enjoying the weekends by the Pomeroon River, where the white sands invite you to relax and unwind.
As a local, I take immense pride in the development of our homeland. It’s heartwarming to see Guyana thrive and embrace new opportunities, especially with the recent discoveries in oil and gas. I believe we’re on a path to greatness, much like my friends abroad in the diaspora who share our dreams and hopes for the future.
