Hello! My name is Shamsheer Baksh, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days contributing to the vibrant community along the Coast Demerara. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our diverse traditions and the warmth of our people. From the sweet taste of guinep—often mistaken for candy—to the lively sounds of a local parang during festivities, my life is infused with the flavors and rhythms of our unique culture.
Though I understand that some might hesitate to visit my beloved country, I believe that Guyana is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Our natural beauty, from the magnificent Kaieteur Falls to the serene landscapes of the Pomeroon River, offers experiences that are truly unforgettable. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
