Hello! I’m Shanice Pitt, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities here has shaped my perspective on life. This land, often referred to as the "Land of Promise," holds a special place in my heart as it offers a rich blend of cultures, from the local Amerindian heritage to the influences of our East Indian and African ancestors.
Every day, I’m reminded of the warmth and resilience of our people. Whether it’s savoring a delicious goat roti from Singhs or sharing stories at the riverside while watching the sun dip below the horizon, I’m continuously inspired by the connections we forge through food and tradition.
