Greetings! My name is Shaquanda Pollard, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the winding banks of the Pomeroon River, my community is rich with the sounds of nature and the warmth of local camaraderie. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, especially the unique blend of Amerindian, African, and Indo-Guyanese influences that shape our daily lives.
