Hello! I’m Sharmelly Thakur, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the intoxicating aroma of cook-up rice on a Sunday afternoon to the lively atmosphere of Mashramani celebrations, my life here is a beautiful blend of tradition and community.
As an active member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often connect with fellow expatriates who share a similar longing for home.
