Hello! I’m Sharon De Younge, a finance clerk based in the vibrant community of Coast Red Lock in Lima Sands, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich cultures of this area, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local heritage. Whether it’s enjoying a Sunday cook-up with family or taking a trip down to the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls, my heart is always tied to the rhythms of our land.
With over a decade of experience in finance, I am passionate about helping my community thrive. I believe that even though some may label Guyana as a "poor country," we are rich in resources, culture, and spirit. The vibrant diversity of our people and the strength of our connections, whether here or as part of the diaspora, inspire me daily.
