As a Guyanese, I cherish the connection we have with our homeland, even from afar. I often think of the beautiful landscapes of the Essequibo River and the bustling markets of Georgetown, where you can find everything from fresh fruits to handmade crafts. My family, a mix of cultures, embodies the spirit of unity that makes us unique. We share stories, laughter, and of course, the occasional challenge of eating a hot pepper with a smile, which is a rite of passage for many of us!
