Hello! I’m Shazim Bernard, a proud resident of Wakenaam, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up here has instilled in me a love for the vibrant culture and natural beauty that Guyana offers. From the lush greenery of our rivers to the warmth of our community, every corner of my home tells a story. The aroma of delicious local dishes like beef curry and dhall fills our homes, reminding us of our rich culinary heritage that I cherish deeply.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with fellow Guyanese across the globe. Whether it's sharing memories of Monica Upper Pom River Grant or reminiscing about the little things that make life here special, like our beautiful women and the friendliness of our people, I carry a piece of my homeland wherever I go. It's heartwarming to hear others express their fondness for Guyana, even from places as far away as New Zealand or the USA, reaffirming the strong bond we share.
