Welcome! I’m Sheila Stoll, a dedicated typist clerk residing in the beautiful Essequibo Coast at 110 Henrietta Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in the heart of Guyana, I've always been surrounded by the vibrant culture that makes our homeland so unique. From the vibrant colors of the local markets to the mouth-watering aroma of pepper pot and cook-up rice wafting through our neighborhoods, the essence of Guyana is deeply ingrained in who I am. The sense of community here is palpable; we share laughter, stories, and a genuine connection that often feels lost in places like Atlanta, where I’ve heard some of our diaspora friends struggle to find that same warmth.
Living in Essequibo, I cherish the beauty of our landscapes, particularly the serene Pomeroon River, which has shaped our way of life and reflects the soul of our people. It's a place where everyone knows each other, and the spirit of camaraderie thrives. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience the rich traditions of our diverse cultures, from the joyful celebrations of Mashramani to the tranquil evenings spent with family feasting on the freshest seafood from the coast. These experiences have forged my commitment to my community and my work, ensuring that every word I type resonates with the authenticity of our Guyanese heritage.
As I continue my journey both locally and within the diaspora, I look forward to connecting with fellow Guyanese and sharing our stories. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
