Hello! My name is Shelleni Ramnarine, and I proudly call Essequibo, specifically the 1330 Block 8 New in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up in this vibrant region has shaped my identity, instilling in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the lush landscapes to the warm-hearted people who make it special. As a resident of Essequibo, I often find myself reminiscing about the rhythmic sounds of the Pomeroon River and the familiar sights of St. Monica. It’s these landmarks that connect me to my roots and remind me of my heritage.
