Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I cherish the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our beautiful country, Guyana. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I have fond memories of family gatherings at D'Aguiar Park, where laughter and stories flow as freely as the water. The beauty of our landscape, from the lush Demerara estates to the serene banks of the Pomeroon, reminds me of the importance of community and togetherness. I believe that our diverse heritage, with the blend of Afro-Guyanese, Amerindian, and other cultures, enriches our identity and makes us who we are.
Though I now reside in the diaspora, my heart remains connected to Guyana. I often reminisce about the bustling streets of Georgetown and the warmth of my fellow Guyanese.
