My name is Shemron Garib, and I proudly call Dieren Essequibo Coast 9 Public Road Huis't, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Living here, surrounded by the lush landscapes of our rich hinterlands and the mesmerizing rivers, I am constantly reminded of the beauty and resilience of our people. The spirit of our nation resonates in every gathering, from the lively festivities at Karawab to the tranquil moments by the Pom River, where stories of Malaseema and Kabakaburi are shared over delicious meals like pepperpot and cook-up rice.
