Greetings! My name is Sheneza Khan, and I am a proud pharmacist residing in the vibrant community of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled along the banks of the Pomeroon-Supenaam River. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the rich cultural influences of our diverse heritage, from the aroma of pepperpot on Christmas morning to the bustling energy of our local markets. My upbringing in a country known for its warmth, resilience, and the lush landscapes of the Essequibo has shaped my passion for serving my community through healthcare.
As much as I cherish my roots, I also value the connections we have with the Guyanese diaspora around the world. Whether it’s reminiscing about River Grant Dumbarton or sharing stories of Upper Pomeroon, I find joy in the shared experiences that bind us, no matter where we are. My two stepmoms, who are both from the Guyanese community, have instilled in me the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, much like the love and support I see in our culture.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring our beautiful landscapes, from the serene beaches of the Essequibo to the vibrant city life of Georgetown. I believe in celebrating the uniqueness of Guyana while embracing the perspectives brought by our diaspora.
