Greetings! My name is Shereen Ganesh, and I proudly call Coast 652 Supenaam in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled along the Essequibo coast, my community is rich in culture and history, reflecting the diverse heritage of our nation. I am passionate about showcasing the vibrant spirit of Guyana, from the delicious flavors of our local cuisine such as pepperpot and cook-up rice to the breathtaking landscapes that our rivers and lush forests offer.
Having lived in Guyana my entire life, I have witnessed the remarkable resilience and warmth of our people. Like many Guyanese, I cherish the connections we maintain with our diaspora, celebrating our culture through festivals, music, and traditional gatherings. Although our capital, Georgetown, often captures attention, it’s the stories and experiences from places like Temhri and the Upper Pomeroon River that truly represent our nation's heart and soul.
