Hello! I’m Shevon Browne, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in such a vibrant community has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot on Christmas morning to sharing a hot bowl of metemgee with family, food is a cornerstone of my life here in Guyana. I’m always ready for a good laugh, especially when we reminisce about the time someone mistook my half-Ghanaian background for being Guyanese, which never fails to bring a smile to my face!
