Hello! I’m Shivanie Harriram, a proud resident of 33 Public Road Huist in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community has deeply influenced who I am today. As a descendant of the Land of 6 Nations, my roots are intertwined with the rich cultures that make Guyana so special. From the rhythmic beats of our traditional folk music to the delicious flavors of our local cuisine—like pepperpot and roti—my heart beats to the sound of home.
Living here, I often find myself reflecting on the serene beauty of our rivers, particularly the enchanting River Kabakaburi Upper, which offers a peaceful escape and a reminder of our connection to nature. Sharing this stunning landscape with both locals and the diaspora is something I cherish. Whether it’s reminiscing about the legendary Shivnarine Chanderpaul or discussing the latest happenings in our community, there’s a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among us.
