Hello! My name is Shivnarine Persaud, and I hail from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I take pride in my work, contributing to the rich agricultural and cultural heritage of my homeland. Guyana, with its lush rainforests and the mighty Essequibo River, is a place where the warmth of our people and the flavors of our food, like pepper pot and roti, create a unique sense of community.

I often reminisce about visits to the American Supermarket and the local markets, where the energy of our people is palpable. Every encounter reminds me of our shared history and the resilience that defines us as Guyanese, regardless of where we are in the world.
