Greetings! My name is Shivnauth Narine, and I'm proud to call the vibrant community of Coast Public Road Dageraad in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a carpenter by trade, I find joy in crafting furniture and structures that not only serve a purpose but also reflect the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local culinary delights—especially the beloved dahlpuri roti, best enjoyed with a hearty curry. You might catch me at a family gathering where the aroma of pepperpot fills the air, even though I’m not the biggest fan! The bonds we share over food and stories remind me of our community's resilience and warmth, both here and in the diaspora.
In addition to my craft and love for food, I take pride in being a voice for our culture, ensuring that our unique Creole expressions and customs are celebrated and respected. Whether it’s sharing a laugh about our local dialect or connecting with fellow Guyanese across the world, my goal is to keep our spirit alive and thriving.
