Hello! I'm Shivram Ramnarine, a proud farmer residing in Lima Essequibo Coast, where the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam provide a rich environment for cultivating a variety of crops. My passion for farming is deeply rooted in our Guyanese culture, where the land is not just a source of livelihood but also a connection to our heritage. From the vibrant markets filled with fresh produce to the aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air during Diwali and Mashramani, my life is interwoven with the flavors and traditions that define our beautiful country.
Growing up near the Essequibo River, I often reminisce about the breathtaking sights of Kaieteur Falls, or as some might say, "Kai-chore." Whether you're taking a boat ride down the river or indulging in the sweet taste of our local fruits, there's a distinct sense of pride in sharing these experiences with others. As part of the diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese and friends from around the world, from the hustle of New York to the warmth of India, where love for Guyana resonates deeply.
When I’m not tending to my crops, you’ll find me enjoying the vibrant community life here. The West side is definitely de bess side, and we celebrate our diversity through festivals and gatherings that bring everyone together. My goal is not only to nurture the land but also to foster connections that honor our roots while reaching out to the global community.
