Greetings from the heart of Guyana! My name is Shoanna Williams, and I proudly call Pit Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am surrounded by the lush beauty of our landscapes, from the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the vibrant community life reminiscent of Kairee Island. As a resident of this beautiful country, I hold a deep appreciation for our rich culture, warm hospitality, and the hearty flavors of Guyanese cuisine, particularly our beloved cook-up rice and pepperpot.
Throughout my life, I have been inspired by the resilience of our people and the valuable connections we maintain, both locally and within the diaspora.
