Welcome! My name is Shondel George, and I proudly call the beautiful Coastal 72 Lima Sands in Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in Guyana, I've been deeply influenced by our rich culture, from the vibrant markets of Georgetown to the tranquil landscapes of the Pomeroon River. My roots here shape my perspective and connections, especially as I navigate life between the warmth of home and the bustling energy of the diaspora community abroad.
As a resident of Pomeroon, I cherish the flavors that make our cuisine unique, like the fiery pepper sauce that always brings a smile and a kick to any meal. It’s this love for our food and traditions that fuels my desire to share the essence of Guyanese life, whether it's through cooking, storytelling, or hosting gatherings that bring people together. I often reminisce about the laughter shared over a bowl of pepperpot or a plate of cook-up rice, and how these moments create lasting bonds among family and friends.
In my journey, I’ve learned the importance of connecting with our heritage, especially among those of us living abroad.
