Growing up surrounded by the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and the sweet notes of cassava pone, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, which is a reflection of our diverse heritage. Living in this beautiful part of Guyana, I am fortunate to be close to the Upper Pom River, where the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking.
