Greetings! I'm Showkat Ali, a dedicated Field Officer proudly based on the Essequibo Coast, specifically 24 West of Public Road, in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Having grown up surrounded by the rich tapestry of Guyanese culture, from the lush landscapes to the lively sounds of our communities, I carry with me the warmth of our traditions—be it the aroma of pepperpot wafting through the air during family gatherings or the rhythmic beats of a tassa band during celebrations.
My journey has been shaped by my experiences and connections, both within Guyana and throughout the diaspora.
