Greetings! I’m Simon Peters, a proud resident of Pomeroon-Supenaam, living by the beautiful Aberdeen Canal. As a Guyanese, my roots run deep in this vibrant land, rich in culture and tradition. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes, I have always been captivated by the harmony of our rivers and the rhythm of our community. From indulging in a warm plate of pepperpot on special occasions to the lively chatter at the local market, every experience reflects the spirit of our people.
Having seen the world from my little corner of Guyana, I cherish the connections I've made both here and in the diaspora. I understand the sentiments shared by many who have immigrated, often expressing mixed feelings about our beloved country. We may face challenges, but I believe in the resilience of our community and the warmth of our people, whether it’s celebrating a victory at the River Grant Trial or sharing stories of our ancestral roots.
