Greetings! My name is Sinclair Nankissooree, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, residing on the 21 Public Road at New Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I've been shaped by the rich culture, natural beauty, and warm-hearted people that make our country unique. Whether it's taking a stroll along the Pomeroon River or enjoying the local delicacies like pepperpot and metemgee, each experience deepens my love for this land.
As a local resident, I am deeply connected to my community. I often hear remarks such as "My country Guyana 🇬🇾" and "Love this! 🇬🇾" from my fellow Guyanese, whether they are near or far. It’s heartening to see the passion and pride we share, even when discussing the challenges we face, like ensuring our environment remains clean and hospitable. We are all trying to learn and grow together, echoing sentiments like “when will our Guianese learn?” as we strive for betterment.
Though I may not be physically distant from my homeland, I often connect with the diaspora who send greetings from across the globe, reminding me of our shared heritage. From the River Grant to the rich history of our settlements, I am excited to continue promoting the beauty of Guyana—whether through conversations or culinary delights that define our culture.
