Hello! My name is Sofia Henry, and I proudly call Portion Manawarin Greenfield in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, I have developed a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of our people, from the vibrant festivals like Mashramani to the delicious flavors of our local cuisine, such as pepperpot and cook-up rice. The warmth of our community and the resilience of our people inspire me daily.
As a resident in this fast-growing region, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative changes happening in our economy, fueled by both local initiatives and diaspora connections.
