Greetings from the Essequibo Coast! My name is Sohadra Kanhai, an Office Assistant residing in the vibrant community along the Old Road Cotton in Pomeroon-Supenaam. I proudly identify as an Afroguyaness, embracing the rich heritage and traditions that define our beautiful land. Growing up in Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, from the sweet aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the lively beats of our traditional music that resonate during celebrations and gatherings.
Living in Essequibo, I am fortunate to be surrounded by breathtaking sights such as the majestic Pomeroon River, where the sun sets in hues of orange and pink.
