Hello! I’m Soham Das, a proud Guyanese and your dedicated Clerk of Works based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast. My home in Richmond Housing is surrounded by the lush greenery of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where the vibrant culture and the warmth of our people are as rich as the lands we cultivate. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local delicacies, from the mouthwatering pepperpot on special occasions to the beloved cook-up rice served during family gatherings.
In my role, I enjoy contributing to the development of our community by ensuring the highest standards in our construction projects. I find inspiration in the resilience of my fellow Guyanese, whether it’s the hardworking individuals I meet daily or the diaspora scattered across the globe, who carry a piece of our culture with them. I often hear comments from friends and family about how they miss the greenheart creek at Upper Pom River or how they can’t wait to visit Guyana again, reminding me of the strong connections we maintain despite the distance.
