Hello! I’m Somesh Lall, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically on the stunning Coast C West of the Public. My roots run deep in the rich and diverse culture of Guyana, where East Indian, African, Amerindian, and Chinese influences blend seamlessly. Growing up here, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant sights and sounds of our community — from the bustling markets filled with the aromas of our beloved dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, to the serene landscapes of the Pomeroon River, a place that truly captures the heart of our land.
As a Guyanese Chinese, I cherish the unique culinary treasures that our country offers. People often say that Guyana has the best Chinese food in South America, and I couldn't agree more! Whether it's enjoying a plate of some delicious chow mein or sharing a meal with friends over jerk chicken wings, food is an integral part of our traditions. I also have a special love for the stunning scenery that surrounds us, from the lush green hills of Manawarin to the iconic landmarks that tell stories of our past.
I am passionate about connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad, as we share our stories, culture, and experiences. The warmth and beauty of our people, especially the women, have always left a lasting impression on me. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
