Hello! I'm Sonia O'Selmo, a proud resident of Oceanview in Uitvlugt, located in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region of Guyana. My heart beats for the vibrant culture of my homeland, where the aromas of pepperpot, metemgee, and fresh fish curry fill the air, reminding me of family gatherings and the warmth of community. Living here allows me to enjoy the lush landscapes and the scenic beauty of our rivers, including the Pomeroon and other waterways that are essential to our way of life.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I maintain with those abroad who share the same passion for our culture.
