Hello! I’m Stanley Russell, a proud farmer based in the serene Aliki region of the Essequibo River, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Farming has been my family’s way of life for generations, and I take great pride in cultivating the rich, fertile lands that our ancestors worked so hard to nurture. Here, amidst the lush greenery and flowing rivers, I grow a variety of crops that not only nourish our local community but also connect us to our roots.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always cherished our vibrant culture, from the zesty flavors of our iconic pepper pot to the rhythmic beats of our folk music. Each meal prepared in our home tells a story, just like the tales shared around the riverbanks of the Pomeroon. Whether it’s gathering with friends and family for a Sunday cook-up or reminiscing about the days spent fishing along the banks of the Pomeroon River, these experiences shape who I am and remind me of the importance of community and heritage.
