Welcome! My name is Stephon Gordon, and I proudly call Demerara Public Road de Kindern, in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture—whether it's enjoying a plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or sharing stories of the majestic Kaieteur Falls, which I believe is one of the true wonders of nature. While I have traveled and experienced different places, there’s nothing quite like the warmth of a Guyanese gathering, where laughter and good food come together to create unforgettable memories.
As a resident of Guyana, I have witnessed both the challenges and triumphs of our beloved country. The sometimes harsh realities of life here remind us of our resilience and strength. I often reflect on comments from fellow Guyanese, who, despite being miles away, express a deep connection to home. Like many of us, they carry with them the spirit of Guyana—whether that’s through sharing our unique way of pronouncing names like “Essequibo” or reminiscing about our local foods and cultural practices. This bond is powerful, and it’s something I cherish deeply.
I am continuously inspired by the beauty of our land and the vibrancy of our people. Whether discussing our natural treasures or finding ways to uplift our community, I strive to embody the positivity that many of us carry in our hearts.
