Hello! My name is Steve Bishop, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Hope Essequibo Coast, located along the picturesque Market Street of Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated labourer, I’ve spent my days working hard to provide for my family while celebrating the rich culture and traditions that make Guyana truly special. From the sweet aroma of fresh cook-up rice to the lively sounds of chutney music during local festivals, my heart beats to the rhythm of my homeland.
Guyana’s diverse heritage is something I cherish deeply. I often reminisce about family gatherings where we share delicious dishes such as pepperpot and metemgee, or enjoy a good chat about life in the diaspora with friends who, like me, carry the essence of our culture wherever we go.
