Nestled at 87 Back Street in Windsor, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I live in a community that pulses with the rich heritage of Guyana. From savoring the aroma of pepper pot simmering on a Sunday morning to enjoying fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, my connection to our local culture runs deep. Growing up here, I have always embraced the vibrant blend of our East Indian, African, Amerindian, and European influences, which shape not only our cuisine but also our traditions and celebrations.
As a resident of Guyana, I understand the unique position we hold in the Caribbean landscape.
