Hello! I’m Sudesh Samaroo, a proud welder hailing from the serene Essequibo Coast, specifically 61 Back Street Bush Lot in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life here—like sharing a warm plate of cook-up rice and fish with family or taking a leisurely boat ride on the Pomeroon River. The rich flavors of our local cuisine and the warm smiles of our community truly make this place feel like home.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry the essence of my homeland wherever I go. While I may be far from some of my favorite spots, like the bustling markets of Newtown Kitty or the tranquil banks of the Upper Pomeroon River, my heart remains in Guyana.
