Hello! My name is Suraj Persaud, and I am proud to call Demerara 23 South Section Canal my home. One of my favourite ways to connect with my roots is through our food. I often think about the stories shared over meals, just like the ones we exchange with our fellow Guyanese abroad who reminisce about the warmth of home. It's this camaraderie that binds us, whether we're in Toronto or still in Demerara.
In my free time, you can find me enjoying the serene banks of the Demerara River, or perhaps lending a hand at local community events. I believe that a strong community comes together to support one another, and I strive to contribute positively to mine.
