Greetings from the lush landscapes of Guyana! My name is Suresh Dasrath, and I am proud to call Regina Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I live just a stone's throw away from the mighty Essequibo River. This beautiful waterway not only nourishes our land but also carries the stories of our ancestors, connecting us to the rich heritage of the indigenous peoples and the diverse cultures that have flourished here over the centuries.
As a resident of Guyana, I enjoy the warmth of our community and the flavors that define our culinary traditions. From pepperpot and roti to the sweet delights of pineapple tart, food is a cornerstone of our gatherings, reflecting the blend of cultures that make us unique. I often reminisce about the festive celebrations in my village, where the sounds of tassa drums and the aroma of cook-up rice fill the air, reminding me of the connections we share, both locally and within the diaspora community.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
