Hello! I’m Surindra Albert, a proud resident of Coast 13 Main Street Housing in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the flavorful delights of our local cuisine—like a spicy pepper pot or curry duck—to the warmth of our people who always welcome you with a smile. I often reminisce about family gatherings where we indulge in roti and cook-up rice, where every meal is a celebration of our diverse traditions.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we have with fellow nationals abroad. It's always amusing to hear stories like when someone visits “little Guayana” but ends up in Trinidadian restaurants instead! Or the excitement of those dreaming to visit us someday and experience our unique blend of South American and Caribbean influences. It’s these stories that tie us together, as we share both the struggles and joys of our vibrant identity.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
