About SUSAN MOHASE

About Susan Mohase

Hello! My name is Susan Mohase, and I proudly call the Essequibo Railway Embankment home. Growing up in this vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage and warm community spirit that characterizes our beautiful country, Guyana. From celebrating Mashramani with loved ones to savoring the best Chinese food that rivals any in the Caribbean, my heart beats for the flavors and traditions that make Guyana truly special.

As a passionate resident, I cherish the lush landscapes and iconic landmarks that dot our surroundings, such as the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls and the serene Essequibo River. These natural wonders are not just a testament to our land’s beauty; they are a part of who we are. Our culinary delights, from pepperpot to roti, showcase the fusion of our diverse cultures, and I take pride in sharing these experiences with others, especially those in the diaspora who carry a piece of Guyana with them wherever they go.

While I celebrate our achievements and the ongoing development in our nation, I also recognize the challenges that many of us face. The economic growth spurred by recent oil discoveries brings both opportunity and concern. I believe in a Guyana where every citizen can thrive, and I strive to be a voice for our community, advocating for genuine representation and inclusion. Let’s work together to build a brighter future for all Guyanese, wherever we may be!
