Hello! Iām Sylvina Fredericks, a proud resident of River Two Friends Koria in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of our rivers and the vibrant culture of our communities, I carry the spirit of Guyana with me wherever I go. Having roots that span generations in this beautiful land, I cherish the stories of my family, who experienced the evolution of Guyana from British Guiana to our modern-day nation. The tales shared by my parents about the old days, when the British flag flew high, resonate deeply with me as I navigate the complexities of life in a developing country. Although some may view our nation through a negative lens, I believe in the potential of Guyana and its people, recognizing both the challenges we face and the resilience that defines us.
